The Cort Theatre was
designed in 1912 as part of
the Intimate Theatre
Movement. When restored in
2022, the theatre's original
“French Style” was reborn
with the details of Marie
Antoinette's Petit Trianon at
Versailles. Seating, draperies
and wall coverings were
designed with classic
imagery. The Arthur Brounet
murals and the plasterwork
proscenium, backlit with
Tiffany Glass, were restored.
The exterior marquee was
recreated to be evocative of
the original. design.
